About this Event

This Maryland Board of Nursing-approved course is a structured 40 hour didactic course to train the experienced RN to perform forensic examinations on patients age 13 years and older.

Some components include self-paced learning modules that are completed outside of the classroom setting. There is a clinical skills component of 40-60 hours that must be completed in addition to the didactic coursework in order to submit for the Maryland FNE-A certification.

Registrants are required to attend all four dates to receive a completion certificate.

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT: This program has been approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing and is consistent with the IAFN educational guidelines.

This activity has been submitted to the lnternational Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) for approval to award 40 contact hours. The lnternational Association of Forensic Nurses is accredited as an approver of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
