84% of people believe that sexual violence is the #1 issue facing women today.

Feb 04th, 2016

In a national survey conducted by the Washington Post and Kaiser Family Foundation, 84% of women and 83% of men ranked "reducing domestic violence and sexual assault" as the highest priority issue for improving the lives of women. With your support, MCASA is working every day to do just that. Our staff works with institutions, including colleges and universities and the military, to prevent sexual violence before it happens. Our Sexual Assault Legal Institute provides comprehensive legal services to survivors of violence, helping them to find safety and justice. And as the Maryland General Assembly prepares to consider bills on age-appropriate violence prevention education, terminating the parental rights of rapists, and more, we are working to ensure that survivors' voices are heard by our legislators. Will you join us in our support for survivors of sexual violence? Learn more about how MCASA membership or a donation can help us to continue our work on behalf of survivors.
