A recent court ruling regarding a college sexual assault case in California is gaining national attention, including coverage in a recent article by Yahoo! Health. Superior Court Judge Joel M. Pressman ruled in favor of a University of California-San Diego student who was accused of sexual assault. The student argued that campus judicial procedures leading to his suspension were prejudicial and unfair. The ruling is of interest to colleges nationwide; although all sexual assault cases are different, the ruling highlights the need for colleges to receive adequate guidance when creating sexual misconduct policies.
