Join MCASA for the Realities of Sexual Assault and Victim Behavior: Best Practices for Law Enforcement Investigations. This FREE training opportunity for law enforcement is sponsored by the Maryland Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention (GOCCP) and is presented by the Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MCASA), MCASA's Sexual Assault Legal Institute (SALI), and other expert partners from the field of law enforcement.
Investigators in Maryland should attend this training if they are interested in strengthening their understanding of:
The realities and dynamics of sexual assault
Trauma and its effects on victims
Current Maryland sex offense law
Appropriate techniques for case interviews, evidence collection, and report writing
