MCASA Signs On Letter to DHS and ICE

Feb 27th, 2017

Recent executive orders and implementation guidance provided by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will dramatically impact immigrant survivors of sexual violence. The executive actions increase the burden on immigrant survivors by weakening existing protections and discouraging survivors from reaching out for help. MCASA recently signed on to a letter to DHS Secretary John F. Kelly and Acting Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Thomas Homan which calls on DHS to protect immigrant survivors.
