This training titled 'Sexual Assault Forensic Exams (SAFEs) and LGBTQIA+ Survivors', will detail how to provide inclusive medical care to persons within the LGBTQIA community after they have experienced sexual violence. Hosted by MCASA's SAFE/SART Policy Specialist, this training will discuss identities of LGBTQIA+ individuals and terms related to the community, various challenges faced by individuals within this community, the prevalence of sexual assault in the LGBTQIA+ community, and best practices regarding the administering of a SAFE to LGBTQIA+ individuals.
