Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention, Youth, and Victim Services Roundtable Discussion: SAFE and nPEP reimbursement

The Governor's Office of Crime Prevention, Youth, and Victim Services (GOCPYVS), in partnership with the Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MCASA) and the Maryland Hospital Association (MHA), is hosting this virtual roundtable discussion to solicit feedback on the state's new reimbursement forms for SAFEs and HIV Prophylaxis (nPEP) released in December 2020. GOCPYVS will review the changes made to the forms based on early feedback received from the field. Additional feedback gathered fromt he roundtable discussion will inform further changes to the forms.

This meeting is open to both SAFE and non-SAFE hospitals as HIV Prophylaxis can be provided to sexual assault survivors that do not obtain a SAFE. We encourage all hospitals to have a representative in attendance as it is imperative that all hospitals in Maryland have a comprehensive understanding of how to obtain nPEP for sexual assault survivors and the subsequent reimbursement process.

Time will be allotted to answer questions participants have, but in the interest of time, please submit those questions ahead of the meeting via the registration link or by emailing Laura Jessick at [email protected] OR Jane Krienke at [email protected]
