Maryland Forensic Nurse Examiner Adult/Adolescent Clinical Training - June 4, 2026

The University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center is hosting an in-person Maryland Forensic Nurse Examiner Adult/Adolescent (FNE-A) Clinical Training on June 04, 2026, from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. 

Training Logistics:

• Registration Fee: $150
  • Registration fee is waived for nurses who plan to work in Maryland as an FNE-A
  • Registration is due Monday, June 01, 2026
  • Lunch is included with the registration fee 

This training course includes the following: 

• Skills training with Forensic Training Associates (FTAs)
• Use of trauma-informed language
• Patient positioning for exam 
• Vaginal exam techniques, including separation and traction, hymenal tracing, and vaginal structures identification
• Insertion of speculum, locating the cervix, and collecting vaginal swabs
