MCASA's Sexual Assault Victim Advocate Fundamentals Training (Online) is an online training for advocates who work directly with sexual assault survivors in Maryland. The training covers both introductory and advanced topics to provide a foundation for best practices for advocates in the field of sexual assault services. This training will include both self-paced learning modules and live webinars facilitated by MCASA and SALI staff and guest speakers. Live webinars will take place daily from September 7th - 17th. Self-paced online learning courses will be available the entire month of June for completion. Participants will also receive recordings of webinars to complete throughout the end of the month if they are unable to attend live sessions.
If you are attempting to register after September 6th, please email [email protected] for assistance.
Registration for this training is free and open to all advocates and service providers.
MCASA is an authorized sponsor of the Maryland Board of Social Workers and can therefore provide Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for all programs and trainings hosted by MCASA. Each one-hour session is equivalent to 1.0 CEU.
