Stalking Provider Training: Basic - Intro Level

About the Training: 

This free, two hour, in-person training is targeted to professionals who work with stalking victims in the Maryland community including mental health and other health workers, law enforcement and those in other areas of the court system, advocates, and others who may encounter or want to support a stalking victim. However, all are welcome and may benefit from this training.

This training will cover basic information and introducing topics related to stalking. This training will not go in depth on stalking behaviors, victim response tactics, motivational types or Maryland Laws.

  • Definitions of Stalking
  • Use of PPOs (Peace and Protective Orders
  • Victims' Rights
  • Record Keeping
  • Importance of evidence
  • Stalking victims' security
  • Victim barriers

Sensitive Subject Matter Warning: This training will be interactive and will include discussions of stalking and scenarios of stalking victimization. This training may be triggering for some participants.
