Virtual Campus Training #2: Sexual Assault Forensic Exams

MCASA’s Virtual Training Series for colleges and universities will address sexual violence prevention and response on campus, with a focus on survivor-centered responses to reports of sexual violence. This virtual training series will be held throughout the 2022-2023 academic year, featuring six webinars addressing various issues pertaining to campus sexual violence.

This virtual campus training will offer attendees an overview of trauma and how student survivors of sexual assault may demonstrate trauma symptoms. Statistics and insight into false reporting will be discussed. We will be joined by Dr. Jessica Volz, an experienced Maryland FNE, nurse practitioner, and expert on forensic medical care. The sexual assault forensic exam (SAFEs) process and forensic medical options available to survivors will be reviewed.

ASL Interpretation and Closed Captioning will be available for this training. If you require additional accommodations please email [email protected]
