Virtual Campus Training #3: Comprehensive Sexuality Education and Sexual Violence Prevention on Campus: A Panel Discussion

MCASA’s Virtual Training Series for colleges and universities will address sexual violence prevention and response on campus, with a focus on survivor-centered responses to reports of sexual violence. This virtual training series will be held throughout the 2022-2023 academic year, featuring six webinars addressing various issues pertaining to campus sexual violence.

November's Virtual Campus Training will host guests for a panel discussion on the overlap between comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) and sexual violence prevention work. Research shows that CSE can be an impactful and effective sexual violence prevention strategy, and we will discuss the gap in CSE that many colleges and universities are working to fill when their students join the campus. Our panelists will share more about their work to connect sexual health and violence prevention education and how campus and community partners can work together to close this gap and build healthy campus communities.

Our panelists include:
Dymond Hamlin, Coordinator, Health Education and Promotion, Towson University
Anna Montelibano, Sexual Health Awareness Group Peer Educator, Towson University
Grace Fansler Boudreau, Coordinator for Outreach & Assessment, CARE Office, University of Maryland
Hanah Ajamian, Student & Outreach Peer, CARE Office, University of Maryland
Jennifer Eden, Certified Sex Educator (EDSE) and Prevention Education and Training Coordinator, TurnAround, Inc.
Annie Smith, Community Outreach Advocate, TurnAround, Inc.

ASL Interpretation and Closed Captioning will be available for this training. If you require additional accommodations please email [email protected].
