MCASA’s Virtual Training Series for colleges and universities addresses sexual violence prevention and response on campus, with a focus on survivor-centered responses to reports of sexual violence and sexual assault prevention on campus.
There is an urgent need for sexual violence prevention strategies that are relevant, appropriate and accessible to LGBTQ+ students to ensure safe, affirming, and respectful environments for all students. This presentation will provide a brief background on sexual violence in LGBTQ+ populations, and will discuss practical tips and strategies for prevention educators and advocates on transforming their sexual violence prevention to protect LGBTQ+ individuals on college campuses.
