The Annual Maryland Women of Color Network (MWOCN) Sexual Violence Prevention Conference will take place on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Bowie State University from 9 am to 4 pm. Hosted by the Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MCASA), the Maryland Department of Health, and Bowie State University, this conference commemorates 20 years of the Maryland Women of Color Network Conference.
This premier professional development event serves as a vital networking and training opportunity for professionals from rape crisis and recovery centers, government agencies, faith-based organizations, community-based organizations, community leaders, students, and survivors.
This one-day, in-person conference provides a unique opportunity to increase knowledge, develop skills, and network with others working in sexual violence prevention and response. Participants will gain practical tools that can be applied within their organizations and communities to better serve and support survivors of sexual violence, especially those from marginalized and underrepresented groups.
The conference will feature six engaging and interactive workshops, a networking hour, dynamic Keynote Speaker Dr. Indira Henard, and a powerful survivor panel. Don't miss this opportunity to connect, learn, and grow! All are welcome.
