Start Anew Clinic Kickoff Event: Empowering Survivors of Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence, and Sexual Abuse

About the "Start Anew Clinic":

Jones Day, in collaboration with JPMorganChase, is proud to announce the second year of The Start Anew Project—an initiative dedicated to serving survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. Across the country, The Start Anew Project will be holding one-day clinics offering survivors comprehensive legal and non-legal assistance, including financial education and literacy programs, resume and interviewing workshops, job fairs and employment resources, consultations including expungement relief for human trafficking-related charges or convictions, and professional workwear. The Start Anew Project’s mission is to empower survivors with the skills and tools needed to achieve independence and security.

The Washington, DC Start Anew clinic will be serving all three DC Metro area jurisdictions: DC, Maryland, and Virginia, and will be held on Friday, October 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST at Dress for Success Washington, DC (1126 16th St., NW, Washington, DC 20036).

About the Event:

• Start Anew Clinic invites NGOs and collaborators to attend the kickoff event, where Start Anew Clinic will share an overview of the Project, answer any questions about the available services, and mingle with the community of individuals and service providers dedicated to helping survivors.
